Our client is an international retail company. We are looking for a driven and professional Employment Law Consultant / Lawyer (F/M) to join the team and contribute their expertise in employment law!
EMPLOYMENT LAW CONSULTANT / LAWYER (F/M)
(Fixed, 1,5 years)
Job responsibilities:
- Advise the organization on labor law, basic questions in social security and immigration;
- Draft and update employment contracts, guidelines, and HR documentation;
- Manage employment disputes and serve as the main point of contact for collective employee representation;
- Track legislative developments and conduct employment law training across functions;
- Identify, assess, and mitigate HR compliance risks through monitoring and reporting;
- Manage HR compliance cases, lead audit coordination, and implement compliance awareness programs.
Requirements for Candidates:
- Master’s degree in law;
- At least 3 years work experience in Lawyer position;
- Previous experience with employment law matters in an in-house or law firm role;
- Ability to analyze and summarize information, diligence, and strong communication skills;
- Fluent Latvian and very good knowledge of the English language (at least B2 level);
- Basic computer and Google Workspace skills;
- Analytical mindset;
- Ability to recognize potential risks, conflicts and offer solutions;
- High sense of responsibility and good time management skills.
